Care that begins before birth

Prenatal Massage in Singapore

Premium Prenatal Massage Therapy at DeRAMA

Pregnancy is one of the most profound journeys a woman will ever undertake, a season of extraordinary change carried in the body and felt deeply in the heart. DeRAMA understands this journey intimately. Founded in Seoul in 2008, our approach to prenatal care was shaped within a culture that treats the time before birth with the same seriousness and devotion as the time after, and we have brought that same philosophy to mothers in Singapore.

Our Korean-style prenatal massage is thoughtfully suited to every stage of pregnancy, gently adapted to your body as it changes across each trimester. What it offers is more than comfort. It is meaningful, attentive care designed to support you through the very real physical and emotional shifts of these months, beginning long before your baby arrives.

Benefits of Prenatal Massage During Pregnancy

The benefits of prenatal massage reach far beyond a single hour of calm. As your body works to nurture new life, thoughtful and regular care can help ease its physical demands while quieting the mind alongside it. These are some of the ways our prenatal massage supports you through pregnancy.

01

Comfort for the Back, Hips, and Shoulders

As your baby grows and your body changes to support this additional weight, your posture naturally begins to adjust, and you may notice more tension in areas such as the lower back, hips, and shoulders. These are common areas where physical strain can build over time during pregnancy.

Our therapists use slow, supported techniques with gentle, attentive movements to help ease physical tension and encourage a greater sense of comfort throughout your body, allowing you to feel more at ease as you move through your day.

02

Comfort for Swelling in the Hands, Feet, and Ankles

Swelling in the hands, feet, and ankles, known medically as oedema, is one of the most common experiences of the later months, as the body holds on to more fluid and circulation slows.

Gentle, rhythmic massage techniques are used to support a sense of lightness and comfort in the body, while encouraging relaxation and ease throughout the limbs. Many mothers find this a soothing part of their prenatal massage experience, especially during the later months.

03

Deeper Sleep and a Calmer State of Mind

Restful sleep can sometimes feel more difficult during pregnancy, as the body changes and the mind becomes more active. A prenatal massage offers a dedicated moment of stillness, helping you unwind from the pace of daily life and ease into a calmer, more restful state.

Many mothers find that they feel more relaxed afterwards and are able to drift off more easily, especially during a time when quality rest can feel particularly valuable.

04

Emotional Comfort and a Sense of Reassurance

Pregnancy can heighten emotions, and it is natural to feel more sensitive or easily overwhelmed during this time. Gentle, attentive touch offers a quiet space to pause and reconnect with yourself.

As the body relaxes, many mothers experience a greater sense of emotional ease and reassurance. It is not a medical treatment, but a comforting part of the prenatal experience that many look forward to as a moment of calm.

05

Gentle Preparation for the Weeks Ahead

As your due date approaches, prenatal massage can offer a gentle opportunity to feel more comfortable in your changing body. Slow, mindful techniques help ease areas of physical tension and allow you to spend time simply noticing how your body feels.

It is a calming experience that supports a greater sense of ease and readiness as you move through the final weeks of pregnancy.

The DeRAMA Prenatal Massage Experience

At our luxury confinement centre in Singapore, every detail is composed with intention, from the formulations created under our own name to the hands entrusted with your care and the quiet of the room itself. Here is what to expect:

01

Oils Exclusive to DeRAMA. Made for You.

The formulations used in your prenatal massage are exclusive to DeRAMA and cannot be found elsewhere. Crème DeRAMA and Oil DeRAMA were developed in-house, inspired by years of dedicated focus on how a woman’s skin and body feel and change in the months after childbirth.

Gently worked into the skin throughout your massage, they are an integral part of the overall experience rather than a finishing touch. Both formulations are designed to support skin comfort and nourishment, helping it feel cared for during the prenatal period. To use them is to experience the result of DeRAMA’s philosophy of thoughtful, personalised care applied directly to you.

02

In the Hands of DeRAMA's Therapists

The heart of every prenatal massage is the person delivering it. Our therapists are trained to exacting Korean standards, with additional training completed in Seoul at the original DeRAMA centre where this approach to prenatal care was first developed.

Behind their hands lies over a decade of experience dedicated specifically to Korean-style prenatal care. This is not general massage training, but a deep understanding of how the female body experiences change throughout pregnancy and childbirth.

At the start of each session, your therapist takes time to understand where your body feels tension and what type of support you are looking for, then thoughtfully shapes the massage around you. You are not following a fixed routine; you are receiving care that is carefully tailored to your individual needs. This is the quiet luxury at the heart of DeRAMA: care designed entirely around you.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • When can I start a prenatal massage during pregnancy?

Most mothers can begin prenatal massage from around 15 weeks of pregnancy. Our prenatal services are 100% manual massage, with no machines involved, making them a gentle and safe option for expectant mothers. Our therapists, each with more than 10 years of experience in prenatal care, will assess your condition and personalise every session according to your stage of pregnancy and individual needs.

  • How long is each prenatal massage session at DeRAMA?

Both our full-body prenatal and postnatal massages will be 1 hour and 50 minutes. Prenatal massages are performed using 100% manual massage techniques, while postnatal services combine manual massage with radio-frequency (RF) therapy to support recovery. For mothers who require focused care on specific areas, partial services are available and typically last around 50 minutes.

  • Is prenatal massage safe throughout pregnancy?

Yes. Our therapists have more than 10 years of experience in prenatal care and are specially trained to adapt each massage according to your stage of pregnancy. They focus on selecting appropriate techniques and ensuring your comfort throughout each session.

Korean-style prenatal massage offers a calming and supportive experience that helps ease physical tension, encourages relaxation, and supports a greater sense of comfort during pregnancy. Many mothers also find it helps them feel more at ease in their changing bodies as they move through each stage of pregnancy.

  • Do I need a doctor’s approval before getting a prenatal massage?

For most mothers, no doctor’s approval is required. Before each Korean-style prenatal massage, we will go through a simple health declaration form and a short conversation to understand your current comfort level and ensure the experience is appropriate for you.

Our therapists will then adjust their approach based on your individual needs and preferences during the session.

However, if you have a high-risk pregnancy or any specific medical concerns, we recommend consulting your doctor and informing us in advance so we can take this into account when preparing your session.
